Summary
This book takes place around the 1880's in Manhatten, New York. Mr. Middleditch is a photographer who is trying to make it big but is to lazy to do so, so he agrees to apprentice a boy named Horace. One day a woman named Mrs. Von Macht comes into the studio and wants a photograph to put on Elenora's grave to help calm her restless spirit.
In this book the problem is that when Horace takes pictures of Mrs. Von Macht he slowly brings back the ghost of Elenora who wishes to seek revenge on Mr. and Mrs. Von Macht for treating her so cruelly. Horace and Pegg have to figure out how to send Elenora back to where she came from. Before she murders both of the Von Macht's.

At the end of the book Horace and Pegg come up with a plan to stop Elenora. Just when they think Elenora is coming in the room it's Mrs. Von Macht and she's gone insane, but she ends up leading them to Elenora and they are able to "kill" Elenora.
